Thursday, December 9th-Tickets On Sale Now
New Japan Pro Wrestling is taping their final big PPV called Nemesis this Thursday on December 9th. It will take place at the Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles. We are going to see a great PPV event. I’m going to try to stay away from spoilers, so I can truly enjoy it. I was happy that last week New Japan Strong announced four more matches including one with Eddie Kingston who I love.
Eddie Kingston Coming Back For More
Eddie Kingston made his New Japan Strong debut at the October set of tapings in Philly. He was with Jon Moxley and I was on the edge of my seat when they took on Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer in a Street Fight last weekend. However, Suzuki and Archer’s strength was just too much for Kingston and Moxley to win. It was interesting to watch Moxley in this match knowing that right after this taping he was entering himself into alcohol rehab.
The NJPW Nemesis Card
Eddie Kingston vs Gabriel Kidd
Jay White vs. Christopher Daniels
JONAH vs. David Finlay
TJP vs The DKC
Alex Zayne vs. Ariya Daivari
Brody King vs. Dave Dutra
Juice Robinson vs. Bad Dude Tito
Karl Fredericks and Kevin Knight vs. Bateman and Mysterioso
Alex Coughlin vs. JR Kratos
Royce Isaacs vs. Lucas Riley
Chris Bey and Hikuleo vs. Clark Connors and Jordan Clearwater
Breaking It Down
I think that Jay White and Christopher Daniels may light this event on fire and I can’t wait to see these two go at each other with the wrestling knowledge they have. Honestly, I can say I have missed Christopher Daniels. JONAH (formerly known as Bronson Reed) is taking on David Finlay and I want to see the character that JONAH has came up with. I haven’t seen a lot of publicity about him in Impact Wrestling or now with New Japan Strong. Lots of questions need answered and he can do that in the ring. Did WWE hold him back from showing us his skills in the ring? Could a different character gotten him over more with the fans?
Most of you know from my podcast that I absolutely love TJP, so can’t wait to see him take on The DKC. I wish that New Japan Strong would let TJP take on someone other than the LA Dojo guys though like The DKC, Clark Connors and others. I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I CANNOT get into Clark Connors character. I have no clue who he is or what he is about. Mostly I think dork when I see him. It doesn’t look like he or The DKC deserved to graduate, let alone be in the ring with TJP, Chris Bey or Hikuleo.
I would have liked to have seen Karl Fredericks vs Bateman instead of a tag match. I know I should enjoy the Juice Robinson vs Bad Dude Tito match. Almost all of the Josh Barnett’s Bloodsports have shown Bad Dude Tito, but it’s not usually as a winner. I suspect he will have a good showing, but just like in the Bloodsports lose. Alex Coughlin vs JR Kratos will be a banger. Probably should be the main event. It will be the cunning, skills and quickness of Coughlin against the power and aggressiveness of Kratos. Can’t wait to see these two tangle.

Don’t forget to listen to Pro Wrestling Overtime for all the reviews, predictions and stories of wrestling. Right now, as you know I’m off from voicing my opinions on the podcast due to strep throat and an infection. I will be backing catching up very soon. I’ll talk to you soon and hopefully see you down the road.
